The data we collect and why

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information. We do not carry out automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Payment information

Online payment is not yet open on this website, so no payment details are collected.


Who we share data with

We share personal data only where it is needed to run the shop:

  • our website hosting provider, which stores the site and its database on our behalf;
  • the suppliers and delivery companies that prepare and deliver your order, who receive your name, delivery address and contact details for that purpose;
  • our email provider, to send order and service messages;
  • professional advisers, and authorities such as HMRC, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for other organisations’ marketing.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of the providers above may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.

How long we keep data

  • Order and transaction records: six years after the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as required for tax purposes.
  • Account details: until you ask us to close your account.
  • Enquiries: up to two years after the conversation ends.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
  • Server logs: for a short period, normally no more than 90 days.

Newsletter and marketing

We send marketing emails only to people who have joined the newsletter by ticking the consent box on this website. Sign-ups are stored on this website; no third-party tracking is attached to the form. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time through the contact page.

This site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. See our cookie policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to erase your data, or to restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances;
  • object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests;
  • ask for your data in a portable format, where it is processed by automated means on the basis of contract or consent;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact page or at customercareaverstoneglobal@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so that we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
